Franklin D. Roosevelt Silver Dime & Three Stamps & COA With History & Mini Album
Born in 1882 in Hyde Park, New York, Franklin Delano Roosevelt served as the 32nd president of the United States. He is widely regarded as one of the three best to ever hold the job, along with Washington and Lincoln, and is the only president to be elected four times. During his fabled First 100 Days, FDR led a Democratic Congress in enacting an unprecedented series of laws and executive orders that formed the basis for the New Deal. Among those that endure as the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Labor Relations Act, the FDIC, the Fair Standards Act of 1938, and Social Security. His leadership helped end the Great Depression and win the Second World War.--This album contains three postage stamps and a silver dime featuring his portrait, issued a few months after his death in 1945 and in 1946, respectively
